They keep you from falling down, don't you think that you need them now?

Takasaki Festival this weekend. After drinking all afternoon and evening I decided to try to climb a tree... and fell. Could have been much worse than it was, but still my right hand is pretty badly injured. A trip to the emergency room at 2am confirmed that there was no fracture (thought as much, I can still move my fingers, albeit painfully) but I have to go back today to see the orthopaedic guy and suss out what the damage is.

I am petrified about what work will say; I can't drive and I can't write (hell, I can't even tie my hair back or do up my bra without help) so I can't really do my job. On top of that... I never did get health insurance. Last night cost me over $200, which is not unreasonable for emergency room and x-rays and what not, but if I need ongoing physio or something I'll be screwed.

Only got about four hours sleep, gonna get some more now... either that or just wallow in my own stupidity for a bit. It has taken me an age to type this one handed so I may not be updating for a while.

One more thing: my boyfriend is an absolute saint. A saint, I tell you.
