They keep you from falling down, don't you think that you need them now?

Not much to say just now, but I wanted to leave a quick response for the almost-anonymous guestbook signer, H. -
Thank you for pronouncing my diary 'eminently readable', and you will have to excuse me for being a pedant, but the term 'self-efficacy' does exist, at least according to the dozen or so psychology textbooks that I was studying last year. Your 'sense of self efficacy', or put otherwise, your belief in yourself and your own power and abilities to produce the effects you desire, is a topic of much interest to psychologists. Self sufficiency is your ability to independently provide for yourself, while your sense of self efficacy relates more to your beliefs about your abilities to effect change in the world.

As for me, not feeling very efficacious (effective? Fucked if I know, really... ;) today... my middle class is a difficult class, one shitty kid and the rest are really good... but the shitty kid is really shitty, I mean, he mimics me, won't sit in his chair, comes up to the front of the class and tries to take what I am holding, yells over the top of me... basically ruins it for the other 10 kids in the class. Today I got to the point where the entire class was not getting anywhere because they simply could not hear me... so I had to go to the next classroom and get the Japanese teacher to come and have a few serious words in Japanese with him. He was a sullen shit after that, but at least he was quiet and the rest of the kids could learn something. I'm going to have to learn a riot act speech in Japanese for my next class with him.

And a big weekend... so very tired and not in the mood for it. But I'll be right tomorrow :) Pay day Wednesday, yay! Can't believe it's the second pay day already... it's going quickly...
